CT steps forward; OK steps back

10 October, 2008 at 2:32 pm (Civil Rights, SuperGay)

Okay, so maybe Sally Kern’s views aren’t representative of all of Oklahoma…still, when I read things like this:

“While terrorism has killed more than 3,000 people, in the continental United States in the last 15 years, homosexual behavior has killed more than 100,000,” she said. “It’s a danger to life. It is a danger to health…It’s a moral decay that’s going to destroy our nation from within.”

it reminds me of why I left Oklahoma. As nice as it would be to have marriage rights in NY, it’s nice to have HUMAN rights in general. Thanks for reminding me of what I left behind, Sally.
